FRIENDSHIP, MD 20758 Friendship is located at the southern tip of Anne Arundel County along MD Route 2, which is 22 miles south of Annapolis, and serves as a water-oriented community for residents who work in either Washington DC or Annapolis. Part of Friendship’s history is the Holly Hill House. It was originally a primitive two-room, 1 ½ story frame dwelling constructed in 1698. An addition was made in 1713, and about 23 years later the entire structure was encased in brick with another addition added. The house is an example of the Medieval Transitional style of architecture. It was part of a plantation owned by Richard Harrison who likely built the original structure for his son. Our superior quality of life on the Chesapeake Bay, our rich heritage, and the proximity to Washington DC and Annapolis make this a great place to live, work and raise a family.
